Position Overview
Getty Team is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Evening Food Production Cleaning Technician to support cleaning and sanitation at a food-manufacturing facility.
This position goes beyond routine janitorial work. The Cleaning Technician will clean and sanitize designated production equipment, utensils, work surfaces, floors, sinks, carts, and support areas after production. All work must be completed carefully and in accordance with the facility’s food-safety procedures, allergen-control requirements, sanitation schedules, and approved chemical instructions.
The ideal candidate takes pride in thorough work, follows detailed procedures consistently, and understands the importance of cleanliness and documentation in a food-production environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Remove food residue, debris, and waste from designated production areas.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize approved tables, sinks, carts, dollies, trays, molds, utensils, buckets, and other production-support items.
- Clean designated exterior surfaces and removable components of production equipment.
- Sweep, scrub, and mop production, warehouse, restroom, breakroom, and office floors.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, sinks, counters, fixtures, high-touch surfaces, and common areas.
- Clean drains, equipment legs, supports, storage racks, walls, and other scheduled areas.
- Follow daily, weekly, monthly, and allergen-changeover cleaning schedules.
- Prepare and use cleaning and sanitizing solutions according to approved dilution and contact-time requirements.
- Test and document sanitizer concentrations when required.
- Use designated and color-coded tools to help prevent cross-contamination.
- Complete cleaning checklists, sanitation logs, and other required documentation.
- Properly store cleaned equipment, tools, chemicals, and removable machine parts.
- Inspect assigned areas before completing the shift and correct any missed work.
- Report damaged equipment, missing components, chemical concerns, pest activity, leaks, safety hazards, or possible contamination immediately.
- Follow all GMP, PPE, hygiene, food-safety, allergen-control, and facility-access requirements.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, sanitation, warehouse, restaurant, manufacturing, or food-production experience is preferred.
- Experience cleaning production equipment or working around manufacturing operations is a plus.
- Ability to follow written procedures, checklists, chemical labels, and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established procedures consistently.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation to an evening assignment in Commerce.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small cleaning team.
- Ability to communicate problems promptly and professionally.
- Comfortable wearing required PPE, including gloves, hair restraints, protective eyewear, masks, and shoe covers.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to:
- Stand and walk for most of the shift.
- Bend, kneel, reach, twist, and work around production equipment.
- Push cleaning carts, mop buckets, and waste containers.
- Lift and carry approximately 30–40 pounds.
- Perform repetitive wiping, scrubbing, sweeping, and mopping.
- Work around water, cleaning chemicals, food residue, machinery, and wet floors.
- Work in varying temperatures commonly found in production and warehouse environments.
Schedule Expectations
The anticipated schedule begins at approximately 7:00 p.m., with shifts generally lasting about six hours. Exact start and end times may vary based on production schedules, facility shutdown times, allergen changeovers, and sanitation needs.
Consistent evening availability and punctual attendance are essential.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
