The Role
Responsibilities:
- Organize and conduct occupational therapy programs for hospital and SNF patients
- Direct patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance daily function
- Support patients in developing skills essential for independence and productivity
- Make recommendations regarding equipment and staffing needs
- Collaborate with providers, nursing, and rehab colleagues on patient progress and discharge planning
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Current California OT registration
- CPR certification
- Demonstrated competency in OT principles, methods, materials, and equipment
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive plans of care
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
- AOTA affiliation recommended
