Duties
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments using material handling equipment such as a hand truck to ensure efficient stock replenishment.
- Accurately order and track inventory, check delivery accuracy, and support the general inventory process.
- Stock shelves with beverages, produce, grocery items, and retail products while maintaining proper product placement and signage for easy customer access.
- Conduct regular inventory management tasks including stock replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Maintain organization of storage areas, aisles, and display sections to uphold safety standards and store appearance.
- Assist with receiving activities by unloading goods safely and efficiently while following safe lifting practices.
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively, ensuring proper packaging.
- Learn to order from vendors and check incoming orders as well as determine pricing.
Requirements
- Previous experience experience is highly preferred but not mandator; familiarity with inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as hand truck
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for accurate stock tracking and inventory control.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer needs effectively.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and standing for extended periods; safe lifting practices are essential.
- Basic math skills for counting stock, processing transactions, and managing inventory data accurately.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations including inventory handling, merchandising, and retail sales principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
