Duties
- Assist with supervising children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support the implementation of age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting childcare environment that meets health and safety standards
- Provide attentive toddler and infant care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Support behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions among children
- Collaborate with the owner and other caregivers to observe and document children’s progress and developmental milestones
- Respond promptly to children’s needs, including those with disabilities or special requirements, ensuring inclusive care
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or caregiving roles is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages or the willingness to take courses to learn is required
- Familiarity with classroom experience or daycare operations is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid and CPR is provided and must be completed in the first 60 days to ensure safety during emergencies
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a nurturing environment
- Previous involvement in toddler care, infant care, or preschool activities enhances your suitability for this role
