Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food and beverage offerings. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. You also earn tips based on the quality of service you can provide in addition to you base pay!
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems.
- Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining attention to detail.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Uphold the restaurant's standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs effectively.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation procedures, and safety regulations.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
