Duties
- Perform a wide range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, and nail applications with precision and care
- Apply nail extensions and incorporate color theory principles to create stunning designs tailored to client preferences
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools and workstations
- Educate clients on proper nail care routines and recommend suitable treatments or retail products to enhance their experience
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide personalized recommendations, and ensure satisfaction
- Stay current with the latest trends in nail art, techniques, and industry standards through ongoing education and training
- Support retail sales efforts by upselling products such as nail polishes, skincare items, or other beauty accessories
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of color theory, nail extensions, gel manicures, acrylic application, and other advanced nail techniques
- Proficiency in sanitation practices and disinfection procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
- Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on nail care or esthetics is highly preferred
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols, dermabrasion, body waxing, eyelash extensions, hair styling, hair extensions, barbering, and laser treatments is a plus
- Ability to perform additional beauty services such as pedicures or skin treatments enhances versatility
- Retail math skills for effective upselling and increasing sales revenue while maintaining excellent client relationships
