Responsibilities
Construction Oversight & Project Review: Review and develop a comprehensive understanding of large-scale power infrastructure projects supporting data center developments. Oversee developer-led construction activities and coordinate with stakeholders to identify and address execution issues that could impact safety, schedule, cost, or quality.
Construction Standards Implementation: Support and enforce standardized construction management practices for safety, quality, schedule, and cost control, ensuring consistent application across assigned power infrastructure projects.
Schedule Management & Field Coordination: Review and analyze construction schedules, coordinate sequencing with power developers and contractors, and identify impacts or recovery actions required to maintain critical milestones.
Cost & Change Management Support: Track construction budgets, commitments, forecasts, and change activity, supporting financial discipline and escalation of cost impacts or trends that could affect approved budgets.
Risk Identification & Escalation: Identify construction-related risks, constructability challenges, and coordination gaps. Proactively escalate issues and potential impacts to leadership to support timely mitigation and informed decision-making.
Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitor compliance with approved QA/QC plans, technical requirements, and applicable codes and standards, supporting resolution and closeout of quality deficiencies.
Safety Oversight: Promote safety best practices and validate compliance with Site Specific Safety Plans across all construction activities, supporting a strong safety culture on project sites.
Stakeholder Coordination: Partner with internal engineering, program management, commissioning, and operations teams, as well as power developers and contractors, to ensure alignment and effective coordination throughout construction.
Site Engagement: Participate in regular project site visits to validate progress, coordination, safety, and quality, and to identify potential execution risks or gaps.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring construction issues, process gaps, and opportunities to strengthen delivery performance across power infrastructure projects.
