Responsibilities
- Set up banquet events by arranging tables, linens, glassware, and utensils to create an inviting dining environment.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, including wine knowledge and beverage service skills to enhance guest enjoyment.
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing attentive service to meet their needs and foster positive guest relations.
- Manage bar operations by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies.
- Clear tables efficiently, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event to ensure a tidy environment.
- Handle food safety and food handling procedures diligently, adhering to health regulations at all times.
- Use POS systems accurately for order entry and payment processing, ensuring smooth transactions.
- Assist with food preparation or catering setup as needed to support event success.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional hospitality in both fine dining and casual settings.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including wine pairings and specialty drinks, to enhance guest experience.
Experience
Candidates should bring a background in the food industry with prior culinary or food service experience preferred. Experience working in banquet settings or catering environments is highly valued. A strong foundation in guest services, hospitality, and customer relations is essential for success in this lively role. Familiarity with POS systems, food safety standards, and beverage service—including wine knowledge—is important. Previous hotel or restaurant experience, especially in fine dining or hotel settings, will give you an edge. Additionally, skills in bussing, food handling, basic math for transactions, coffee or café experience are beneficial assets for this energetic position.
