Job Summary
This is a Part Time Sales Associate position working in Woodland Studios Art Gallery located in Historic Downtown Stoughton. The ideal candidate is reliable, open to working 2 weekends per month, has great communication skills, and attention to details. Woodland Studios offers a variety of original art pieces, framing, and a vast collection of original antique advertising signs. This Sales Associate position will not be responsible for learning framing.
Responsibilities
- Ability to work 2-3 days per month, Saturdays and Fridays.
- Ability to work alone, open and close the Gallery.
- Process transactions accurately using cash handling, cashiering, and cash management procedures using Square.
- Strong and friendly communicator
- Answer phone calls and leave detailed messages for Gallery Owner.
- Keep Gallery clean; dusting, wiping counters, and vacuuming when not busy with customers.
- Attention to detail when taking information on framing jobs.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required
- Ability and interest in learning about the art in the gallery
- Basic math skills, including retail math
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist customers and collaborate with team members
- Proven track record of reliability; showing up on time, working as scheduled.
- A positive attitude combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving will help you succeed in this role.
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
