Overview
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Loan Officer to join our financial services team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of lending products, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves guiding clients through the loan process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating smooth loan origination and processing.
Duties
- Originate and process consumer loans, including pre-qualification, application, underwriting support, and closing coordination
- Conduct credit analysis and evaluate borrower financial information
- Assist clients with understanding loan options, explaining terms
- Perform basic math calculations accurately for loan qualification assessments using 10 key typing skills and math proficiency
- Stay informed about industry changes related to banking and credit analysis practices
- Collaborate with underwriters and other team members to facilitate efficient loan approval processes
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally throughout the loan lifecycle
Experience
- Prior experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial sales role is preferred
- Knowledge of consumer lending origination, processing, underwriting, and servicing processes is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service abilities are necessary for success in this role
- Basic math skills including 10 key typing proficiency are important for accurate data entry and calculations
- Experience working within the banking or financial services industry will be considered an asset
