Probate Paralegal – Royal Oak, MI
The Probate Pro (www.TheProbatePro.com), a division of the Darren Findling Law Firm, PLC, is a growing probate, estate planning, and elder law firm with offices in Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio. The Probate Pro is seeking a paralegal for its Royal Oak, MI office. Candidate will be expected to cross-train in a variety of office functions and will work in a team environment. This is a very busy practice that thrives on hard-working, enthusiastic professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, filing, and serving pleadings, including motions, petitions, orders, inventories, accounts, notices, and other probate-related pleadings
- Communicating with clients, courts, and counsel, including scheduling and confirming appointments and hearing dates
- Take direct assignments from settlement coordinator to timely file motions and follow-up with distribution to clients.
- Scanning and filing documents
- Monitoring and meeting deadlines
- Managing a large and time-sensitive caseload from start to finish with assistance from the supervising attorney

- Ability to work overtime occasionally to meet deadlines
Preferred candidates may also have experience probating deceased estates, trust estates, handling guardianship and conservatorship matters, and litigation matters.
