Marketing & Sales Coordinator
Consultant (1099) | 1547 Critical Systems Realty
Remote (Eastern time zone; NY/NJ metro a plus) | Reports to the VP of Marketing
About 1547
1547 Critical Systems Realty is a connectivity-focused colocation, digital infrastructure, and carrier hotel owner and operator with facilities across North America. We specialize in network-rich, interconnection-dense properties that keep the digital world running. Our culture is grounded in the spirit of aloha: authentic, people-first, and collaborative.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an organized, self-motivated Marketing & Sales Coordinator to join our team for a 6-month consultancy, supporting our marketing team while a team member is on leave. There may be an opportunity to convert to full time employee at the end of consultancy term.
You'll report to our VP of Marketing, with day-to-day guidance from our Marketing & Events Program Manager during the initial consultancy period while the VP is on leave.
While this role starts with a focus on marketing and event coordination, the possible full-time position may evolve to include client-facing or customer support responsibilities over time, depending on business needs and the strengths you bring.
This is not project-based, hands-off contract work. You'll be a true part of the team, plugged into daily operations, events, and marketing execution. If you like variety, moving quickly, and owning the details that make everything run smoothly, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
- Event & travel logistics: coordinate registrations, conference passes, hotel bookings, booth shipments, and on-site details for industry events and internal gatherings
- Content & website coordination: work with our marketing team and PR partner to publish content across channels: posting videos and blogs to our website, updating web pages, and keeping our site current and on-brand
- Sales support: pitch in on tasks the sales team needs a hand with, from prepping materials to coordinating logistics as things come up
- Marketing operations: manage swag and shipping logistics, email signatures, project tracking, and digital asset organization
- General coordination: serve as a reliable point of contact across marketing vendors and internal teams, keeping projects on track and details buttoned up
Qualifications
- A marketing, communications, or business-related degree and 1 to 2 years of coordinator, marketing, or administrative experience
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple priorities without dropping anything
- A self-starter who can take direction and then run with it independently
- Clear, professional communicator across email, chat, and in meetings
- Comfortable with digital tools; experience with HubSpot, WordPress, Canva, or similar is a plus
- Interest in marketing and events, with openness to a role that may grow to include client-facing or customer support work over time
Schedule & Structure
- Engagement: 6-month independent contractor (1099), September 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027
- Hours: approximately 30 to 35 hours per week
- Availability: must be available during standard business hours (9 AM to 5 PM ET) for meetings, collaboration, and time-sensitive coordination
- Location: remote, with a preference for candidates in the NY and NJ metro area for occasional in-person events and gatherings
Pay: $4,500.00 per month
Work Location: Remote
