Duties
- Assist with the installation of rebar, formwork, and concrete finishing to ensure structural integrity and quality.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to support carpentry, roofing, masonry, and other trades.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and managing heavy lifting tasks.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements and assist accordingly.
- Support concrete pouring using mixers and pumps; perform concrete pumping and finishing tasks.
- Conduct demolition, restoration, or renovation work as directed, including plastering, stucco application, and caulking.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with power tools, heavy machinery, or in confined spaces.
- Collaborate with team members on site to meet project deadlines while maintaining a safe work environment.
Experience
- Prior construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with various trades such as masonry, carpentry, roofing, or restoration is a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and construction estimating processes is beneficial.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately to support project execution.
- Experience operating power tools, heavy equipment, or commercial driving is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in diverse environments.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction work environments.
