ADM Custom Metal is a small & dynamic custom sheet metal fabricator committed to delivering high-quality products to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled Delivery Driver and helper to continue to assist our growing customer base and logistics requirements.
Position Summary
You’ll split your time between (a) driving a company rack truck or van to deliver finished goods, and (b) pitching in on the shop floor, deburring parts, packing orders, sweeping chips, and whatever keeps production flowing. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable behind the wheel and on the shop floor, takes pride in punctuality, and treats every customer interaction like a brand‑building opportunity.
Key Responsibilities Delivery & Logistics (~80%)
- Help load and unload parts using a pallet jack or forklift
- Perform same day deliveries across metro area
- Verify deliveries and obtain signatures on paperwork
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and coordinate with supervisors regarding maintenance
Shop Support (~20%)
- Help pack and crate outgoing shipments
- Run basic machines (drill press, tapper, deburing) after training
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid NJ (or transferable) driver’s license; clean MVR for the past 3 years
- Class B CDL or better
- Able to lift push or pull up to 75 lbs
- Basic math and ruler/ tape‑measure skills
- Familiarity with GPS routing and smartphone delivery apps
- Solid written/verbal English for BOLs and customer interactions
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Extras
- Forklift certification (or willingness to earn within 30 days)
- Prior experience driving a 16‑26 ft box truck or similar
- Exposure to metal fabrication, warehousing, or construction environments
- OSHA‑10 card
