Summary
Education and sale of merchandise, and cashiering in a retail store by performing the following duties:
- Educate customers regarding cannabis properties and/or effects.
- Comply with all state regulations pertaining to retail sales.
- Answers customer's questions concerning price and use of merchandise.
- Comply with company's cash handling policies.
- Creates an exceptional customer service experience with guests through education, knowledge of products and salesmanship.
- General cleaning duties as required. Other duties may also be assigned.
Our budtender role places an emphasis on delivering exceptional hospitality experiences for our guests. Qualifications
Retail experience preferred but is not required.
Flexible availability required.
Must be able to perform in a team environment.
Working knowledge of cannabis and cannabis related products.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as state regulations and procedure manuals. Ability to write. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract and to multiply and divide in a retail environment. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving customer service situations, interpersonal conflict and resolution.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess an active Alaska Marijuana Handler's Permit, a Food Handler's Card, and be 21 years of age or older.
