Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Teacher for our sister center Little Folks School, to inspire and nurture young learners in a dynamic educational environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to the developmental needs of young children, including preschoolers and toddlers.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and active learning.
- Deliver engaging lessons focused on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall child development instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to discuss student progress, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, assessments, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that promote early intervention and inclusive education for children with special needs or developmental delays.
- Ensure safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols while maintaining a secure classroom environment.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education, childhood development theories, and childcare regulations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for early childhood education settings.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Familiarity with special education principles and early intervention strategies.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
- Experience teaching physical education or incorporating movement into daily activities is a plus.
- Childcare or daycare experience demonstrating responsibility for young children's well-being.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred or required for safety compliance.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed records and lesson plans.
