Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will partner directly with ownership and management to help strengthen HR processes, support employees, ensure compliance, and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.

Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for supporting and administering a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, payroll administration, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This position serves as a trusted resource to employees and management while helping ensure the company's HR practices align with business objectives and employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and HR-related matters.
- Support employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
- Assist managers with employee performance discussions, evaluations, and corrective action plans.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage the full recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Support employee retention and engagement initiatives.
- Assist with workforce planning and staffing needs.
HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance
- Process and oversee weekly payroll administration with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Maintain employee records and personnel files.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support workplace safety initiatives, reporting, and compliance requirements.
HR Systems & Process Improvement
- Utilize HRIS platforms such as Paylocity to maintain employee data and reporting.
- Prepare HR reports and support management with workforce-related information.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and administrative efficiency.
- Leverage technology and AI tools where appropriate to streamline HR operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, industrial, or blue-collar workforce environment strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
- Experience using HRIS platforms such as Paylocity or similar systems.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Experience leveraging technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
