Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Duties
- Implement evidence-based ABA therapy protocols tailored to each client’s care plan, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior management.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, and feeding, promoting independence.
- Collect and record accurate behavioral data during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients in developing communication skills through teaching techniques aligned with their individual needs.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by ensuring confidentiality of medical records and client information.
- Collaborate with supervising Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to execute treatment plans effectively.
- Engage in ongoing training related to medical terminology, ethical standards, and behavior management strategies for neurodevelopmental disorders.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities, especially those on the autism spectrum or with neurodevelopmental disorders, is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and data collection methods.
- Experience working in home-based settings or school environments is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Demonstrated understanding of medical documentation, medical terminology, and medical records management.
- Commitment to ethical practice consistent with the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; certification as an RBT is required or in progress.
