About the Role
Moundview Dairy is looking for an experienced, hands-on Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping operations, cooler/inventory management, and logistics coordination for our shipping department. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the center of our production-to-customer pipeline — you'll be the go-to person for carriers, customers, and internal teams alike. We need someone who can move comfortably between the physical floor (loading trucks, managing cold storage) and the office (system data entry, scheduling, compliance documentation).
What You'll Do
Cooler & Physical Operations
● Manage cold storage space daily, including pre-shift setup, pallet movement (up to 20–30 pallets on heavy days), and staging product for truck pickups
● Organize the cooler at the end of each shift to keep the next day's operations running smoothly
● Handle specialized export pallet builds and placement per customer specifications
Truck Loading
● Load approximately 10–11 trucks per week, including scheduled weekend loads (Saturday and Sunday)
● Ensure order accuracy, weight compliance, and adherence to customer-specific requirements (including high-compliance accounts)
Documentation & System Entry
● Generate Bills of Lading (BOLs) — approximately 12–13 per week
● Enter lot-level and per-pallet data to support accurate inventory tracking and downstream invoicing
● Track and follow up on Certificates of Analysis (COA) to ensure timely, compliant shipments
● Learn and maintain proficiency in our Database Manager system (inventory lookup, order creation, BOL generation)
Scheduling & Planning
● Build and maintain the weekly Loading Schedule across all trucks and customer channels
● Adjust the schedule in real time as pickups, quantities, and truck capacities change
Logistics & Customer Coordination
● Serve as primary point of contact for carrier partners to confirm pickups and timing
● Coordinate closely with logistics partners and internal teams to verify orders and resolve discrepancies
● Manage monthly export shipments, including compliance with international pallet specifications
● Draft clear, professional customer-facing communications in English and Spanish based on internal direction
Inventory Management
● Monitor system and physical inventory levels, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Cross-Functional Support
● Communicate daily with packaging supervisors, plant management, purchasing/warehouse teams, and quality assurance
● Serve as an on-site resource for shipping-related questions and issue resolution
● Provide light technical troubleshooting support for shipping/production equipment (e.g., label printers, scales) as needed
What We're Looking For
● Bilingual required: English and Spanish (spoken and written)
● Prior experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics supervision preferred
● Comfortable with both physical warehouse work and computer-based data entry/system work
● Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
● Clear communicator who can coordinate across teams, carriers, and customers
● Detail-oriented, especially around compliance-sensitive documentation and shipments
● Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including required weekend shifts and occasional early/after-hours work
● Experience with SAP or similar inventory/database systems a plus
Schedule Details
● Core weekday shift with early arrival required at least 3 days per week
● Saturday loading (alternating) and Sunday loading (every week)
● Average of ~48 hours/week, including approximately 8 hours of overtime
