The Sentinel of Rockland, an Assisted Living Facility located in Montebello, is looking for a full time cook to join our friendly team of professional.
Prepare food daily as outlined on the weekly menu plan.
Assist with menu planning; review and adjust menus with REPORT TO, to accommodate foods in season, vendor sale prices, special events and holidays.
Identify food and supplies needed for the next week's menus and report to the REPORT TO.
Maintain written inventory of dry goods, refrigerated and frozen foods, non-food supplies, dishes and utensils.
Prepare meats for storage and portion control upon delivery; ensure proper storage of all delivered foods and ingredients. Date items upon delivery.
Ensure proper handing, labeling and storage of food for infection control.
Coordinate and participate in serving and platting of food.
Monitor portion control to meet resident's requests and minimize waste.
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment.
ServeSafe certificate required
Notify Administrator of malfunction of equipment or appliances.
Carry out other duties as assigned by REPORT TO.
