Overview
Join our team as a temporary dental hygienist until we fill out open full-time position. Hours are flexible to suit your schedule and ours. We are open Monday through Thursday.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral conditions.
- Assist with dental procedures by providing chairside support using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation in Eaglesoft electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care tailored to pediatric dentistry needs.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and safety.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the West Virginia with current CPR certification.
- Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably within general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment with compassion and professionalism.
- Familiarity with dental assisting techniques, chairside assisting skills, and aseptic techniques essential for effective practice.

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
