Position: Asphalt Quality Control Technician Lvl 1

FLSA Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt
Location: 5880 Lipan St. Denver, CO 80216
Hourly Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00
Sign on Bonus: $600.00
Position Summary:
Entry-level position who, under the direction and supervision of experienced staff builds basic understanding of the Quality Control Program, materials engineering, materials testing, construction observation, and standard construction practices.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Develops knowledge of the Quality Control Program
- Develops the attitude, skills, and knowledge to perform on-site observations, collect representative samples, perform tests to monitor construction processes and records observations and results that are reported daily to supervisors
- Practices organization, cleanliness, attention to detail, quality, and safety.
- Develops the skills and knowledge to read, review, and understand test procedures, standards, plans, and specifications
- Communicates effectively with on-site personnel both internally and externally
- Begins to learn and understand the results of observations and tests
- Seeks guidance and training at every opportunity
- Develops the skills and knowledge to acquire relevant certifications
- Availability to work some nights and weekends (including overtime)
