Are you passionate about precision, leadership, and continuous improvement? Join Day & Zimmermann as a Quality Inspection Supervisor III will provide active, daily oversight and coaching across the entire assigned program. There will be Audit Inspector management, a floor presence, process improvement oversight, and ensuring procedure/inspection compliance.

Practices and promotes safety. Assures quality records meet all procedural requirements. Actively coordinates and manages inspection staff. Issues corective actions as required.

Assures correct documents, procedures, material, equipment and tools are available at point of use. Collects, formats, and provides inspection data to QE supporting customer requirements and Ammunition Data Card development.

Trains personnel in quality practices and procedures including: QWI's, tagging, use of inspection equipment, as well as other quality related tasks. Supports investigations, non-conforming material tagging/disposition and manages tool calibration compliance.

Ability to read, analyze and understand technical procedures. Ability to input, format, and process data. Assist in writing reports and procedures. Ability to effectively gather and process information to support responses when questioned by managers and customers.

Ability to manage such tasks including: personell oversite, concise reporting, time management, statistcal sampling, and collaboration with Production Supervision.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and apply a variety of technical instructions in text, diagram, or mathematical form, and deal with process input and output variables.

Must be able to act independently when required. Be able to assess situations as they develop and take decisive action.

Manage the issuance of revised procedures and removal of old procedures.

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.

Associate’s Degree (AA) In technical studies Preferred.

2+ years experience Preferred.

Must be willing to obtain ASQ Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Auditor certification and/or related technical Quality education, preferably that which will result in obtaining a certificate or degree.

May require a secret clearance.

Must possess a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, which includes the gold or black star in the upper corner, indicating it is federally compliant OR Current Passport.

A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate with team members is essential for contributing to a cohesive work environment.

Successful completion of a background screening process is mandated for all candidates.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $61,680 - $92,520 annually. Please note that this range is not a guarantee of compensation; final offer amounts may vary based on experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on the date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
