Custodian: Provide building cleaning and maintenance daily.
Supervisor: Buildings and Grounds Director
General Description
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and well-maintained school environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position performs daily cleaning and routine maintenance of assigned areas, completes scheduled custodial duties, and assists with building setup, cleanup, and securing the facility before and after school events and activities. The Custodian also performs maintenance projects and other duties as assigned by the Buildings and Grounds Director to ensure the school facilities are clean, functional, and welcoming.
Qualifications:
High School diploma/equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age
Good health and good attendance record
Must be able to complete a background check.
Physical/Other Requirements:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work successfully with students, teachers, administrators, and school staff
Able to routinely lift and move heavy objects weighing at least 40 pounds and occasionally lift/carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 70 pounds. .
