American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric Oncology RN for a travel position in Washington, DC, requiring an active DC RN license and APHON certification.

Outpatient Pediatric Hematology-Oncology and Pediatric Infusion (Pediatric Sub-Specialties) department setting
-
Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts; schedule may rotate between an early shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) and a late shift (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

40 hours per week

Floating may be required to Pediatrics, Infusion, or Pediatric Sub-Specialties departments as needed

Epic EMR in use

Active DC RN license required; all licenses and certifications must be active at time of consideration — pending credentials are not accepted

Required certifications: BLS and APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses)

Experience with chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration required

Experience with port access/de-access, IV therapy, and blood product administration required

Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities include port access/de-access, IV initiation and infusion therapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, blood product administration, therapeutic phlebotomy, pain and symptom management, injections, patient education, care coordination via phone and EMR, vaccine administration, record transfer, and daily equipment checks/quality control

Collaborates with outpatient care partners as part of the care team
