Position Overview
The Material Transfer coordinator is responsible for the direct transfer of raw material resin from sacks to silo via transfer systems. The Material Transfer Coordinator must be a licensed forklift driver or able to obtain a forklift license within 90 days of employment. This position also requires a knowledge of basic mechanical skills in the event of a minor breakdown in equipment. The Material Transfer Coordinator is also responsible for the cleanliness of the area(s) where the material transfer station(s) are located.
Essential Job Functions
· Ensures the correct material (OPS or PET) is transferred from the correct transfer station to the correct silo.
· Silo locations.
· Proper procedure for hooking up transfer pipe to silo.
· Basic mechanical knowledge of machine operation as it pertains to the transfer system and the ability to learn how to get the machine running after minor breakdown.
· Proper lock out tag out procedure for transfer equipment.
· Maintains the cleanliness of the transfer rooms and outside silo areas.
· Complies always with the Mobile Equipment Written Program expectations for the inspection and operation of Mobile Equipment and other mobile equipment related subjects.
· Maintains housekeeping and organization of raw materials storage areas.
· Assist with material movement throughout the extrusion facility in the event of no raw material to be transferred or extended mechanical breakdown.
· Others as needed by the extrusion facility.
Non-essential Job Functions
· Participates in improvement activities.
· Maintains housekeeping throughout the facility.
· Assists in snow removal and facility services as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
