Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sample Reception / Login Person to join our laboratory team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming samples, ensuring accurate logging, proper handling, and distribution into our laboratory. Your proactive approach will support the integrity of our analysis by maintaining meticulous records, adhering to strict laboratory safety protocols, and facilitating efficient sample processing. Duties
- Receive and inspect incoming environmental samples, verifying sample integrity and labeling accuracy
- Log samples into laboratory information management systems (LIMS) with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure samples are stored under appropriate conditions according to safety and protocol requirements
- Maintain accurate and organized records of sample receipt, storage locations, and movement in compliance with laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Coordinate with laboratory staff to prioritize sample processing based on project timelines and analytical needs
- Follow strict laboratory techniques during sample handling to prevent contamination, exposure, or damage
Experience
- Previous experience working in an industrial or clinical laboratory setting is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and data entry is required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed laboratory procedures accurately
- Background in research setting environments involving laboratory instruments, data collection, and analysis skills is desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of laboratory compliance standards and documentation practices in regulated environments

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
