You can tell when a studio is being led well. Members linger in the lobby after class. The front desk knows who is returning from an injury and who has been away too long. New members are drawn into the community rather than left at the edge of it.
That environment does not develop on its own. Someone builds it.
Club Pilates Palatine is looking for that person. The studio has meaningful room to grow — the space, the class schedule, and the market are all in place, and a significant portion of this community has not yet been reached. We are seeking a leader who sees that as an opportunity to build rather than a studio to maintain.
This role is designed for someone who wants ownership of an outcome: to grow a membership base, shape a culture, and be able to look at this studio in three years and know they made it what it is.
About the role
This position was created with a single focus: growing the studio.
Your days will be spent where growth actually happens — with prospective members, with the people already in the studio, and on the floor where the experience is made. This is a role built around being with people, not managing a business from a back office.
It also carries real latitude. You will be trusted to set the plan for how this studio grows, and rewarded for the results you deliver.
What you will own
- Membership growth. Lead generation, follow-up, intro-to-membership conversion, and the sales floor.
- Community outreach. Local partnerships, referral development, studio events, and neighborhood presence. This role actively pursues new business rather than waiting for it.
- Retention. You are the primary point of contact for every cancellation and freeze conversation.
- Studio culture. You set the tone on the floor. Members stay in large part because of how the studio feels, and that experience is created deliberately.
- Team leadership. Day-to-day leadership of the Palatine staff, in partnership with an experienced Sales Lead.
What we are looking for
- A demonstrated sales record — a number you were accountable for and delivered on
- Strong prospecting instincts and the initiative to generate business
- Genuine warmth with people. Members form their impression of this studio in part through their relationship with you.
- An ownership mindset. You identify what needs attention and address it without being asked.
- Consistency and follow-through. Energy matters in this role; reliability matters more.
- A preference for working on the floor with members rather than behind a desk
- Comfort being measured, and genuine interest in seeing your work reflected in results
- Experience in boutique fitness, gyms, or a membership-based business strongly preferred
Pilates certification is not required.
Compensation and growth
- Base salary, commission on new memberships, and a share of studio revenue that increases as the studio grows. As you build the membership base, your percentage rises with it.
- A structured onboarding program, including a defined first 90 days and ongoing coaching
- A two-studio organization with plans to continue expanding. The leader who succeeds in this role is who we would build around next.
