Job Summary
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients visiting or contacting the veterinary clinic. Your role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly and assist them with check-in procedures
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate records of client and patient information in the system
- Process payments and handle financial transactions
- Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management
- Provide support to veterinary staff as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge or experience in animal care, handling, or husbandry is a plus
- Familiarity with basic veterinary terminology and procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficiency in computer systems and software used for scheduling and record-keeping
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
