Job Title – Position Description: Sonographer
Reports to: Manager Diagnostics Services
MISSION
The sonographer is responsible for delivering quality patient care by performing optimal renal, scrotal, penile, and female pelvic ultrasound studies in a fast-paced specialty environment.
OUTCOMES

Produce optimal image resolution and accurately complete diagnostic assessment for each ultrasound study in a high patient volume setting.

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
Education:

Certificate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
Previous, Job Relevant Work Experience:
-
Two years of sonographer experience
-
Strong working knowledge of abdominal and pelvic anatomy and pathology
Credentials/Licensures:
-
Active license in American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), with specialty physics and abdomen/small parts
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:

Associates/Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Previous, Job Relevant Work Experience:
-
3+ years of sonographer experience

Previous experience in a Urology/Gynecology outpatient and/or hospital setting

Working knowledge of Konica Minolta Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) The Exa™
-
Working knowledge of eClinical Works or similar Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
