Chemcote is seeking Roofers and Laborers to join our commercial roofing team in the Columbus, Ohio area. This is a hands-on role ideal for dependable individuals who are ready to work, learn, and grow in the roofing and construction trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist roofing crews with a wide range of duties including carrying materials, lifting, sweeping, setting up safety systems, and tool distribution
- Perform manual labor tasks such as shoveling, cleaning, and assisting with installation activities
- Maintain control and responsibility of personal hand tools and safety equipment
- Be prepared to move between job sites as needed with required personal equipment and supplies
- Follow instructions from the Foreman and complete assigned tasks promptly
- Safely and efficiently use hand and power tools required for roofing work
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Work Environment
This position is physically demanding and performed outdoors on active job sites. Work includes standing, climbing, lifting, bending, and working at heights in varying weather conditions.
Travel
- Travel to and from job sites is required
- Reliable transportation is required
Qualifications
- Prior construction or roofing experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding labor
- Willingness to work outdoors and in varied weather conditions
- Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
- Basic experience using hand and power tools preferred (training provided)
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
