Construction Safety & Risk Compliance Coordinator

As Gunter Construction's Construction Safety & Risk Compliance Coordinator, you'll take ownership of the systems that keep our employees safe, our projects compliant, and our company operating at its best. This is primarily an office-based position with periodic travel to project sites throughout Kansas and Missouri.

What You'll Own
- OSHA and regulatory compliance.
- OSHA logs, safety documentation, and employee training records.
- Hazard Communication (HazCom) Program administration and Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
- OSHA Silica Prevention Program
- Driver Qualification Program, including license classifications, endorsements, medical certifications, and proactive renewal tracking.
- Project-specific safety training and contractual compliance for employees and subcontractors.
- Periodic project compliance audits and support for Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Safety orientations, toolbox talks, PPE coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of construction safety, compliance, or risk management experience.
- Heavy civil or concrete construction experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.
- Working knowledge of DOT driver qualification requirements and CDL classifications preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based software.
- Organized, accountable, proactive, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
