About the Role
The Temporary Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of an assigned portfolio of residential rental properties. This role plays a key part in maintaining occupancy, supporting resident satisfaction, and ensuring operational consistency during a leave of absence.
This is a full-time temporary assignment expected to run through September 30, 2026. Based on business needs and performance, there may be opportunity for extension or transition into a regular full-time role.
This position requires strong organization, consistent follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate documentation and clear communication.
What You’ll Do

Manage an assigned portfolio of residential properties, supporting occupancy, resident satisfaction, and overall performance

Execute leasing activities including property tours, applications, lease preparation, and renewals

Manage marketing efforts, listing updates, and lead tracking to support occupancy goals

Maintain strong conversion practices from inquiry to lease

Support resident retention through renewals and engagement

Maintain accurate lease files, resident records, and property data

Process applications, leases, and documentation in alignment with company standards and timelines

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with company policies

Manage vacancy workflows, including move-ins, move-outs, and turnover coordination

Coordinate with internal teams to support timely unit readiness

Provide responsive, professional communication to residents and property owners

Address concerns and service requests with a solution-oriented approach

Maintain consistent communication, documentation, and follow-up across all responsibilities
What You’ll Bring

Experience in property management preferred

Strong organization and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities

Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and processes

Ability to problem-solve and exercise sound judgment

Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (AppFolio preferred)

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check
