Compensation:
$58,000.00 annually
Summary:
Provides oversight of all aspects of Food and Beverage operations, including the Culinary Center, Special Events, Catering, and facility upkeep. Ensures member, resident, and guest satisfaction through creative programming and offerings, while balancing revenue production and the bottom-line financial performance of the assigned Food and Beverage Department. Oversees hiring and training of food and beverage dining and bar staff and seasonal staff, and partners with the chef on menus, specials, and the execution of dining room promotions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists with interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Assists in the management of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Servers, Greeters, Runners, and Bartenders.
- Assists with budget monitoring for assigned Food and Beverage areas.
- Reviews the current day's business levels in dining room and bar operations and assigns priorities as needed.
- Relays pertinent information to key staff including Sous Chef, Bar Supervisors, Executive Offices, Concierge, and Membership Office as needed.
- Assists the Food and Beverage Director in monitoring the success of the dining room and bar, along with associates, including semi-annual performance reviews, as needed.
- Conducts regular staff meetings with colleagues, subordinates, and related parties.
- Ensures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate. Assists in developing ongoing training programs.
- Manages ordering, receiving, and inventory control for assigned food and beverage-related areas.
- Creates cocktail lists with bar staff; manages costing and promotes drink features.
- Works with the Sous Chef on dining room menu promotions. Educates staff and communicates promotions for marketing purposes.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possesses strong leadership, hospitality, and human relations skills.
- Presents a professional appearance and demeanor in all exchanges.
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge/Skill:
- Knowledge of hospitality POS system applications, hardware, software, and menu programming.
- Experience in multifaceted food and beverage operations.
