As a member of the therapy team, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for:
-
Conducting thorough evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans
-
Implementing effective, evidence-based therapy interventions
-
Supervising and guiding Occupational Therapy Assistants
-
Consulting with referral sources, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
-
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Illinois under the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act
-
AOTA membership or eligibility preferred
-
Ability to evaluate and treat a wide range of populations (neonates, pediatrics, young adults, adults, and geriatrics)
-
Current CPR certification and other service line–specific competencies
-
Perform client-centered evaluations and establish individualized OT treatment plans
-
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services

Manage cases through evaluation, treatment, revision, and discharge
-
Maintain professional documentation and communication
-
Exhibit professionalism, empathy, and a positive attitude
-
Protect patient privacy and confidentiality
-
Collaborate as a team player, contributing to problem-solving and quality improvement
