Short-Term Rental Housekeeper / Turnover Specialist

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Must live within a 30-minute radius)
Job Type: Contract (Independent Contractor)
The Role
We are looking for detail-obsessed cleaners to join our fast-growing short-term rental team. This isn’t basic residential cleaning—this is "hospitality cleaning." You are responsible for turning over Airbnb-style units and making them photo-ready by 3:45 PM.
What You’ll Do
- Full turnover: Strip/replace linens, sanitize kitchens/bathrooms, and restock essentials.
- Staging: Arrange towels, pillows, and amenities to meet 5-star visual standards.
- Quality Control: Follow detailed checklists and upload before/after photos for every clean.
- Problem Solving: Report maintenance issues or damages immediately via Discord.
Schedule & Requirements
- Hours: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Sunday availability is required.
- Reliability: Must have your own reliable vehicle and a smartphone with data.
- Supplies: Must provide your own cleaning supplies (vacuum is provided on-site).
- Pet Friendly: Must be comfortable removing pet hair and cleaning pet-friendly homes.
- Independence: No "helpers," children, or pets allowed on-site during cleans.
ATTENTION: At Pittsburgh STR Management, our cleaners are our eyes, ears, and nose. You are usually the last person to see the unit before a guest walks in, and your work plays a huge role in the experience we provide. We take pride in the small details and rely on our team to do the same.
Please answer all of the screening questions. We’re also looking for strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions closely. To confirm this, please make the third item in your answer to Question 5 the word “spotless.”
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
