Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Location: Fayetteville, NC
Salary: $100K-130K plus bonus
Job Summary of the Senior Project Engineer: The Senior Project Engineer is a crucial member of the Engineering team. Responsibilities include analyzing data, designing implementation plans to enhance production processes, and leading a small team on medium to large projects.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Senior Project Engineer:
- Create engineering designs, develop material specifications, and estimate project costs.
- Conduct research and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
- Ensure designs adhere to standards, validate field work, and create as-built drawings.
- Review engineering submissions, coordinate project activities, and collaborate with vendors, contractors, and plant teams.
- Oversee layout planning, utility requirements, and consultant work.
- Provide updates to management, assist with contract administration, and monitor installations to ensure project success.
- Manage project budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
Education & Experience Requirements of Senior Project Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of engineering principles related to food processing and meat industry.
- Experience in project management, contract administration, and large-scale project management desirable.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and engineering economics.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Frequent travel required for collaboration with other sites (50% of the time).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and sound engineering principles.
