Position Summary
The Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role by supporting the General Manager in delivering an exceptional guest experience, developing team members, and ensuring consistent execution of the Crust Way. This role leads by example, coaches the team, and helps drive operational excellence, food quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example and model Crust's core values.
- Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns.
- Coach, train, and develop team members.
- Support daily restaurant operations, opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with scheduling, inventory, food cost, labor, and cash controls.
- Ensure food quality, cleanliness, food safety, and brand standards.
- Observe team performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
- Help create a positive, accountable, and high-performing culture.
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour based on experience; estimated rate including tips
QualificationsRequired
- 2+ years of restaurant leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong guest service and communication skills.
- Ability to coach and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience.
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, and labor management.
- Food Handler and Manager certifications (or ability to obtain).
Physical Requirements
This position requires working in both the front and back of house. Responsibilities include standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds. The role also requires operating kitchen equipment, using a computer or tablet, and communicating effectively with guests and team members.
Working Conditions
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require.
- Work in a fast-paced restaurant environment with exposure to kitchen equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate to high noise levels.
