Small World Learning Center is currently hiring a Lead Toddler Teacher for our Woodbury childcare center. If you love working with toddlers and enjoy a structured, engaging classroom environment, we would love to meet you.
This position is perfect for someone with experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on classroom and enjoys guiding toddlers through important early learning stages.
Our toddler teachers focus on building independence, supporting language development, and creating a fun, active environment where children can learn and grow.
Position Details
Location: Woodbury, MN
Position: Lead Toddler Teacher
Schedule: Full-time
Pay: $20–$25 per hour depending on experience
What You'll Do
- Lead a toddler classroom (typically ages 16 months – 33 months)
- Create a structured, engaging, and age-appropriate learning environment
- Support toddlers with daily routines including meals, naps, and transitions
- Encourage language development, social skills, and independence
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
- Communicate daily with parents about their child’s progress
- Work closely with your co-teacher and center leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with toddlers in a childcare or daycare setting preferred
- Ability to confidently manage a toddler classroom
- Knowledge of early childhood development
- Ability to meet Minnesota DHS teacher requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Reliable, patient, and energetic personality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
