Role Overview
We are seeking a structured, proactive, and responsible Location Manager to oversee our daily dispensary operations and lead a close-knit team of 2–3 Budtenders. This role requires a balance of exceptional customer service, meticulous inventory management, and strict adherence to state regulatory standards. As the face of our retail location, you will lead store compliance and team morale, and occasionally represent Montana Kush at exciting offsite brand events.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management: Oversee all aspects of managing a small location team, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, continuous training, and scheduling.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date understanding of Montana state cannabis compliance under CARD guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all Budtenders provide friendly, educational service, offer accurate product information, and maintain a rigorous attitude toward state regulations.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels for both cannabis products and non-cannabis consumables, ensuring accuracy in the point-of-sale (POS) and state tracking systems.
- Brand Representation: Act as a brand ambassador during occasional evening hours for offsite promotional events to help grow community engagement.
Candidate Qualifications
- Schedule Flexibility: Willingness and availability to work occasional evening hours specifically for offsite promotional events.
- Technical Aptitude: Proficiency with standard computer programs and a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new industry-specific software.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to represent the brand professionally.
- Autonomy & Initiative: A self-starter mindset with the ability to take decisive, responsible initiative when upper management is unavailable.
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to maintain a calm, level head and professional demeanor when resolving staff or customer conflicts.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

- Health & Dental Insurance: 75% of monthly premiums covered by Montana Kush after the successful completion of a probationary period (minimum 72 hours worked per pay period required).
