Human Resources Generalist
Location: Central Florida (Orlando Area)
Must be local to Central Florida
Schedule: Full-Time | On-site
Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 DOE
We are a multi-location organization seeking experienced Human Resources Generalists to support leaders and employees across assigned regions. This role serves as a trusted business partner to operational leadership while helping drive employee engagement, performance, compliance, and workforce effectiveness.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with managers, solving problems, and supporting a diverse workforce across multiple locations.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist serves as the primary HR partner for assigned locations, providing support across employee relations, performance management, compliance, onboarding, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
This role works closely with operational leaders and employees to ensure consistent HR practices, strong employee experiences, and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Leadership Support
- Partner with managers and employees to address workplace concerns, employee relations matters, attendance issues, and policy interpretation.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Coach leaders on employee performance, engagement, communication, and documentation best practices.
- Support corrective action processes, performance improvement plans, and employee development initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership teams on employee-related matters.
Performance Management & Workforce Planning
- Assist managers with employee performance management, development planning, promotions, transfers, and organizational changes.
- Monitor turnover trends and provide recommendations to improve retention and employee engagement.
- Support workforce planning initiatives and organizational effectiveness efforts.
- Partner with leadership to identify talent gaps and succession planning opportunities.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support administration of leaves of absence, accommodations, workers' compensation, and unemployment matters.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and policy administration.
Employee Experience & Engagement
- Support onboarding activities and employee integration efforts.
- Conduct employee check-ins and engagement discussions.
- Assist with employee recognition, communication, and culture-building initiatives.
- Partner with Recruiting and Operations teams to support a positive employee experience.
HR Operations
- Maintain employee data within HR systems and ensure data integrity.
- Process employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and organizational updates.
- Assist employees and managers with HR-related questions and system support.
- Support payroll, benefits, and HR administrative processes as needed.
Training & Development
- Support leadership development and employee training initiatives.
- Assist with delivery of HR-related training programs and policy updates.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for employee growth and development.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience in a Generalist, HR Business Partner, or Employee Relations role.
- Experience supporting managers and employees in a multi-location environment.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, employee relations, performance management, and HR best practices.
- Experience utilizing HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting field-based or operational workforces.
- Experience within service, construction, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, or similar industries.
- Experience supporting multi-state operations and growth-oriented organizations.
