Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Duties
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems and property maintenance tasks to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs when necessary.
- Troubleshoot complex systems involving ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) components to identify root causes.
- Repair appliances and mechanical equipment by applying proper techniques in plumbing, welding, or equipment repair.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all work performed for quality assurance and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a related field such as mechanical or property maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC design principles and equipment repair procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in boiler operation and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools including ohmmeters and field service equipment.
- Welding skills and experience with appliance repair are highly desirable.
- Construction background or mechanic experience is beneficial for understanding complex system installations.
