Hitch & Truck Accessories Installer (Full-Time)
RA Hitch & Truck Outfitters – Raleigh, NC
RA Hitch & Truck Outfitters is hiring a full-time installer/technician to join our growing team. We specialize in professional installation of trailer hitches, wiring, truck accessories, and commercial upfitting. We are open to experienced installers as well as mechanically inclined, trainable candidates who want a long-term career in a specialized trade.
We’ve been in business for over 40 years and are known for clean, professional installations — not rushed or sloppy work.
Job Responsibilities
- Install trailer hitches (Class I–V)
- Must have your own tools
- Install trailer wiring (4-way, 7-way, brake controllers)
- Install truck accessories, including:
- Running boards & steps
- Tonneau covers
- Toolboxes & ladder racks
- Bike racks & cargo carriers
- Perform basic electrical diagnostics
- Work on cars, SUVs, trucks, and commercial vehicles
- Ensure all installs are clean, secure, tested, and ready for delivery
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with automotive, truck accessory, or fleet upfitting work preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently after training
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable and professional work ethic
No dealership experience required
No flat-rate pressure
Training provided for the right candidate
Schedule
- Full-time only
- Day shift
- Occasional overtime available
