Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of flooring and wall tiles across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by ensuring precise, durable, and aesthetically pleasing tile installations. Duties
- Measure, cut, and install tiles using hand tools and power tools with precision and care.
- Interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and specifications to ensure accurate tile placement.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for optimal adhesion.
- Install epoxy floors, vinyl flooring, hardwood floors, carpets, and perform floor refinishing as needed.
- Conduct restoration work including water damage repair, floor buffing, caulking, and general building material installation.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure compliance with building installation safety standards on all construction sites.
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople to coordinate seamless project execution.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, building material installation, and flooring installation including tile laying.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, saws, as well as power tools required for flooring and tile work.
- Knowledge of interpreting technical drawings and construction plans for accurate project execution.
- Hands-on experience with epoxy floor installation, water damage restoration, cabinet installation, remodeling and construction painting.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction site work and building installation safety compliance.
- Ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently during installation processes.
- Strong background in carpentry skills including trim carpentry and fixture installation; handyman experience is a plus.
