Kendall Family Services LLC (KFS) is looking for compassionate individuals who are excited about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As a Direct Care Staff member, you’ll support individuals in four key areas of daily living: Community Participation, Health, Safety & Wellness, Household Management, and Adaptive Skills.

Client Locations: Anoka, Washington, Chisago, Kanabec, and Isanti Counties
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance required
- Willing to drive in the community with clients and occasionally drive 20-30 minutes between clients
- Reliable vehicle (driving is required, amount varies on client needs)
- Ability to pass a DHS Criminal Background check (Fingerprinting required)
- Self-motivator and flexible
- Familiarity with 245 D licensing and services a plus
Responsibilities:
- Work with clients in their home
- Create plans for visits with your clients
- Help clients meet their goals but still find and maintain a quality of life.
- Follow and understand client’s plan of care.
- Participate in team meetings for client’s you work with.
- Assist client in advocating for themselves and their needs.
- Help clients navigate paperwork, meetings and any situations that may arise.
- Consulting with supervisor as needed on goals, services, and supports.
- Transporting client as needed in the community for medical appointments and activities.
- Maintaining training requirements as outlined by KFS for position.
Necessary Skills to be successful in this position:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to case note effectively and capture visits accurately
- Able to problem solve on the go with clients
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of 245D
- Maintains training requirements as required for the position
- Able to work independently
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Able to work with an array of clients
- Ability to work flexible times, including possible evening hours
- Is dependable and punctual and can maintain a good attendance record.
- Be willing to travel up to 20-30 miles between client visits
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
