EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the PA National Guard and the Office of Veterans Affairs by developing mechanical system designs and facility programs that improve safety, efficiency, and long-term performance. As a Mechanical Engineer Consultant, you will perform the following duties:

Mechanical Design: Develop mechanical design solutions that support renovations, new construction, and system upgrades

HVAC Guidance: Create and update HVAC guidelines, operation and maintenance plans, and building commissioning procedures

Technical Review: Evaluate drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with standards and codes

Energy Coordination: Support energy management initiatives and contribute to the DMVA energy team

Systems Oversight: Provide expertise on building management systems and recommend improvements to facility performance

Project Support: Assist with cost estimates, schedules, assessments, and construction coordination for mechanical projects

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days out of a 10-day work period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
