What This Job IS
✅ This is a hands-on lawn and landscape maintenance position. You will be maintaining the appearance and health of properties across residential neighborhoods, commercial facilities, and industrial job sites.
❌ This is NOT a chemical application or spray technician position. (We have a separate posting for that role.)
Job Responsibilities
- Mow, edge, and trim residential, commercial, and industrial properties to company standards
- Perform landscape bed maintenance including weeding, mulching, and plant trimming
- Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants as directed
- Operate and maintain commercial-grade equipment including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools
- Load and unload equipment, materials, and debris safely and efficiently
- Keep job sites clean and professional in appearance upon completion
- Report property damage, hazards, or maintenance concerns to your crew leader
- Operate as part of a crew in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
- Represent Marvelous Gardens professionally at all times while on client properties
Required Skills & Qualifications
Work Ethic & Dependability Our crews run tight schedules across multiple properties each day. We need team members who show up on time, work hard, and take direction well. Reliability is the most important quality we look for.
Ability to Work as Part of a Team You will work alongside a crew on most days. The ability to communicate, take instruction, and support your teammates keeps the work moving and the clients happy.
Equipment Operation Experience operating commercial mowers, trimmers, and blowers is preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate, but a willingness to learn and respect for equipment is non-negotiable.
Physical Stamina This is a physically demanding position. You will be on your feet and active the entire shift, working outdoors in Texas heat. You must be able to regularly lift and move items up to 60 lbs.
Bilingual — English/Spanish a Plus The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus and will be considered favorably during the hiring process.
Work Locations
Our crews service properties across multiple location types:
- Residential neighborhoods and subdivisions
- Commercial properties including retail, office, and municipal sites
- Industrial facilities and large contract job sites
Travel between job sites is required daily. A valid driver's license is preferred for team members interested in advancement into a crew lead role.
