What We Are Looking For:
An Operator II is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Operates production lines (sometimes multiple at a time) in accordance with work instructions to produce quality products made within established specifications. Has the ability to operate complex equipment, produce and perform inspections of parts, move or load materials or product, and/or set-up and operate machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Set-up of multiple machine processes (install/adjust tooling, calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) as needed
- Feed raw material or parts into semi-automated machines
- Verify parts with precision and measuring tools
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Check parts or process to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
- Record pieces produced and complete all required paperwork
- Identify and report quality concerns to the Quality Control Department or Management
- Perform Material Handling duties to load and unload raw materials and work in process (WIP)
- Manage the production of multiple machines or processes at a time
- Perform cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas and machines
- Performs all other duties as assigned in support of company objectives, as directed by the Supervisor or Lead in charge
- Must have complete understanding and support of safe work practices
- Ensure compliance with, and continuous improvement in all applicable environmental objectives, goals, accountabilities, policies and responsibilities as outlined in the Environmental Management System (EMS) program
