This position includes evening hours and a rotating weekend schedule.
What You'll Do
- Provide outstanding reference and readers' advisory service
- Assist patrons with technology, computers, and digital resources
- Help develop adult programs, book clubs, and engaging displays
- Support the adult collection and other public service initiatives
- Serve as Librarian-in-Charge during assigned evening and weekend shifts
- Contribute ideas and work collaboratively with an enthusiastic team
Qualifications
- MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program (or currently enrolled and nearing completion)
- New York State Public Librarian's Certificate (or eligibility)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable with technology and eager to help others
- Friendly, dependable, and able to work independently
Compensation
Starting at $28.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
