Upscale French Restaurant Group is seeking a motivated, energetic Barback to join our growing team. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting the bartender with service and keeping the bar operational. A high-energy, can-do, friendly attitude is a must.
Location: Le Bilboquet Sag Harbor- 1 Long Wharf, Sag Harbor, NY 11963
Primary responsibilities:
- Restock liquor, mixers, and garnishes behind the bar.
- Perform bussing responsibilities such as clearing empty cups and trash.
- Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of bar (i.e. wipe down surfaces, push chairs and stools in, arrange drink menus, salt and pepper shakers, etc.)
- Perform clean-ups of spills or other issues as needed.
- Ensure bartenders are always equipped with cleaning implements at bar stations.
- Clean cups and dishes; adhere to dish-washing procedures.
- Ensure bartenders are always equipped with clean glasses in front of house.
- Check and re-stock ice bins.
- Assist bartenders with beverage inventory.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures during each shift.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by smiling and answering any questions our guests may ask.
Skills and qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in barbacking or bussing preferred
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Detail-oriented, organized, clean
- Legally able to serve alcohol
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Must have a flexible schedule (may be required to work late shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed)
